AAAA Delivers Results Of ESC Testing Program To Regulators

Media Releases

Jun 18, 2015

The AAAA shares how they have completed aftermarket testing concerning ESC units, and delivered the results to regulators!

Following the successful completion of a comprehensive dynamic testing program, the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA) has now provided the Australian Federal, State and Territory vehicle regulators with full Australian Design Rule (ADR) 35-03 “sine with dwell” tests, together with an independent engineering assessment report for certain vehicles.

The full-scale vehicle testing undertaken for this project is the same testing that is used by all vehicle manufacturers and major suppliers around the world to develop, test and simulate vehicle dynamics, engines, suspension, vehicle electronic control systems and more.

The purpose of the test program was to categorically prove (through independent engineering data) that minor modifications to the height of a vehicle do not have an adverse impact on the operation of the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) unit. To our knowledge this is the most comprehensive aftermarket testing of this nature undertaken anywhere in the world to date.
