New Bendix website delivers fast search and more streamlined experience-image

Bendix has launched an all-new website designed to provide mechanics, workshop managers and vehicle owners with more extensive search options, allowing them to find the components they need much faster and more accurately.

Greatly enhanced search functions that identify the correct brake components faster, plus a clean and easy to navigate design are two cornerstones of the new Bendix website.

Greater search options
A major benefit of the new website is the extra search options which let users more easily identify their required part(s). Once the vehicle is selected by inputting make and model details or registration number, they can then filter by Bendix product type – this may include Bendix brake upgrade kits, brake hose kits, discs and pads.

From here, additional filters are available by selecting details such as brake disc thickness, brake disc type, height, length and outer diameter. Users can also choose from fitment options such as front or rear axle, and for suspension types – standard or raised – in the case of components such as Ultimate 4WD™ Brake Upgrade Kits or Brake Hose Kits.

To further help users identify the most appropriate parts, the website provides recommendations based on vehicle type, road conditions or application type.

Removes the guesswork
For European marques such as VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda, the latest website also allows search by PR number. Similar to a VIN, the PR number (or PR code as it’s sometimes known) is also unique to each car and identifies each piece of equipment installed to that vehicle. This is a useful search tool because manufacturers can change brake designs and specifications mid model, or offer upgraded brake specifications, depending on whether the car features a performance package or is a higher spec variant.

Once the components are identified, the website provides full parts details and a photo and or technical drawing depending on the component. For those who already know the part number, they can search using this as well. Users can also perform more general searches by vehicle type: passenger vehicles, 4WD/SUVs, light commercial, heavy commercial and motorcycles.

More detailed search filters now include information such as disc brake type, thickness, length and outer diameter.

Valuable information and resources
Additionally, the new website includes ‘at a glance’ features and benefits for all products, supported by more in-depth information for those looking to delve deeper. Further helping the user to identify the most appropriate part(s), Bendix makes shortlisting the most relevant components easier by providing recommendations based on the vehicle type, road conditions or application type.

Other practical information includes safety data sheets, a brake system guide, company and product FAQs, general Bendix news, events and latest product releases, as well as a useful installer and retailer finder for both brick and mortar and online partner outlets.

The new Bendix website allows users to search by PR number, increasing accuracy in identifying parts for brands such as VW, Audi, SEAT and Skoda that have many brake component variables.

Aesthetics and navigation
The new Bendix website is easily distinguished from its predecessor by its brighter, cleaner and modern layout, featuring more prominent imagery, animation and easier navigation, for a more engaging overall user experience.

Bendix CEO, George Kyriakopoulos, said that Bendix’s expansive product range was now easier to access thanks to the innovative new website.

“Our region is one of the most competitive for vehicle OEMs, with just about every brand represented and new entrants regularly coming to market,” George said.

“This means that Bendix is constantly working to expand its parts catalogue which now covers 3,000 plus items. Given the breadth of products, it’s critical that customers can search for and identify the components they need as efficiently as possible.

“The new website with its greatly expanded search functionality will help customers locate Bendix parts faster and help ensure that these are correct for their vehicle,” George explained.
